Official Development

In 2024, the ALRA will continue to focus on putting official's development at the top of its priorities. Our Executive recognizes that many people are at different stages of their development, and are prepared to support each member in their officiating pathway.

Request an Evaluation

To submit a request for an evaluation, please see the link here.

Forms submitted will be forwarded to your local OIC for further processing. Please note that we will try to have an evaluator watch one of your games as soon as possible but cannot guarantee an evaluation.

Any further questions can be sent to VP Development

Dedicated VP Development

If any official would like to further develop their skills as a referee, inquire about mentorship opportunities, or apply to events you may reach out by emailing the VP Development.

The VP of Development will reach out to have a one on one conversation about the various ways to improve your officiating experience.

This may include but is not limited to scheduled sessions to discuss goal setting, on and off floor supervision, ways to improve, self reflection, homework, and reviewing game footage.

It is recommended for any official who has interest in attending any Lacrosse Canada events to take advantage of this opportunity.

Sanctioned Events

Every year, ALRA officials travel across the province to officiate ALA sanctioned games and tournaments

This year, there will be a competitive provincials model, more information including an application can be found here

The ALRA also supports the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League (RMLL), Major Lacrosse.

Each year the ALRA selects developed officials to represent the ALRA at Nationals

Historically, there has been a number of officials to even travel internationally!

If you are interested in any event outside of your LGB, or want to progress, please email the VP Development
