All Field Days for this season will be played at McLean Fields in Red Deer, on the following dates:

Field Days #1 - July 27th & 28th

Field Days #2 - August 10th & 11th

Field Days #3 - August 24th & 25th

 

Possibility of an "All-Star Weekend" the weekend after Labor Day in Lacombe, but this is yet to confirm this at this point.  This year, the First Nations (U-19 Nationals) are also being hosted here in Calgary on Labor Day weekend, so this would also be a good opportunity to see some higher-calibre lacrosse, and possibly volunteer (will get more information on this). 

 

For those of you who might be wondering, fees for field lacrosse, as well as per diem and travel, are very similar to box.  Those officials attending a set of Field Days will have a hotel provided (if not from Red Deer and area),  For uniform, we're not expecting anyone to go out and spend a fortune purchasing everything that is needed for a field lacrosse referee uniform.  For those of you coming over from box lacrosse, the box lacrosse uniform is okay, as well as a black hat. Although penalty flags are used in field lacrosse, in the absence of these throwing your hat will work just fine.  Over the course of the three Field Days, is to have an opportunity for a senior official to either work with all of you on the field, or at the very least watch you on the sidelines, especially in your first few games.
